Day 7 : Daily Drawing 2021

 I like my new signature. Not sure if it will stay but for now it's ok. Today I have a hand full of other work to do in the morning before I started drawing. I have an Etsy shop here I sell slings (check it out https://www.etsy.com/shop/HilltopHurler) I had to ship some orders. So I had less time for this drawing,

So I took out the bigger nib and went to work. The size was faster but not as helpful as I had initially planned on. The challenge came from having to adjust my mark making away from what I was doing with the smaller nib. I kept trying to go back to small movements and little details.

However in the beginning the nib was overloaded with ink and that's why there is two black markings on the page. I had initially planned on an open and airy piece. where I would use less ink and more negative space. However the ink had something different to say about that. and with in the first 2 mins I had ink puddle number one. Quickly followed by ink puddle number two. That did change the entire dynamic of the drawing but I fell like in a few days I will like this drawing or take something positive away from it. But right now I think it could be better. well I think it just needed more time.
